First Day [04062013]
• Pre-camp

• What sounds interesting about this project?
The challenge of the project, which is to paint ourselves into a different person, sound interesting to me as I have never tried using photoshop before, using the software and different tools for the first time also interests me.

• What do you think you can learn from this project?
The different techniques of digital painting, such as how to differentiate between lightness saturation and hue, and also know more about using photoshop

• Any immediate questions regarding the project?
How can we apply Digital painting in our daily lives?

• Plenary Sessions

• Note down one key learning point for each session
For the first session, the learning point is that. you enjoy the course that you are taking and be dedicated to it, like how Earth scientists enjoy and dedicate themselves to their jobs. Also, an invention is not discovered overnight, whereas, it is through a lot of efforts put in which leads to success.

For the second session, we learnt about the procedures of 2D as well as 3D animation, their pros and cons, and how IT has helped us in life. It also show how cell painting works. We also learned that as long as you take the first step, you will be able to start something big, keep it simple, and perfect it later.

Last but not least, the last session thought us about how, using nano-technology, we can shrink words and even images to fit the width of a human hair, and even create a tiny motor. We also learn about how nano-technology has help us be able to manipulate atoms.
